Defining CFR

C | Community

CFR believes in giving back to our local community.  CFR has provided pro bono MEP engineering design for the Charles Houston Teen Recreation Center in Alexandria, VA.  In addition to pro bono MEP design, CFR employees have been volunteering their time to renovate an employment opportunity interview room for the homeless at the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless shelter. CFR supports or sponsors many local charity events and organizations throughout the year including Operation Second Chance, Nourish, and University of Maryland's QUEST Honors Program.  In 2015, CFR was honored with the QUEST Consulting Project Champion Award.

F | Fun

CFR believes in creating a fun work environment, which opens up the creative thoughts and designs from the simple to the most advanced projects. Arc Flash, the official CFR band, performs a few times a year to not only support local charities, but also for fun company events. The Ice Cold Pitchers, CFR's softball team, competes yearly in the local Dept. of Energy Softball League.  In 2016, CFR placed 2nd after a strong showing in the Championship game. Fun team building events, potlucks, lunches, and other fun company sponsored events are a common occurrence at CFR.

R | Redefining

CFR redefines the family and work life balance.  All CFR employees value the balance of serious design and engineering tasks with a fun work environment and a sense of family. Fun team building events and family-and-friend cookouts and events are held throughout the year.  CFR takes pride in listening to its employees to ensure CFR grows with the desires and visions of its employees.
